FAQs

What is the difference between "Standard" and "Institutional and extra support" subscription levels?

Both levels get you the same object—a great magazine, in digital and/or print. The standard level covers our costs to publish (including paying contributors, operational costs like website hosting and software subscriptions, printing costs, etc.). The extra support level is for those that are able and interested to support us at a higher level, which will help us become more financially and operationally sustainable.

The institutional and extra support level is also appropriate for institutions (such as libraries and organizations) looking to purchase a copy of the magazine.

We thank you for your support at whatever level!

I've moved since I first subscribed. How do I update my mailing address?
Log in and update your account in our payment portal. If you have any problems, email us at [email protected].
Do you ship internationally?
Sorry, we don't at the moment.
How do I purchase a gift subscrpition for someone else?

We don't have an easy option for this yet. But, in the meantime, you can purchase a subscription normally using one of the links above, fill out your email address at the top, the recipient's information in the Shipping Address section, and your information in the Payment Method section (you will need to un-check "Billing info is same as shipping").

Subscriptions default to auto-renewal, but you can use the same email address to log into our payment portal immediately afterwards and cancel the recurring payment.

All that's left is for you to let the recipient know about the gift!
